Mr. Mohit Kumar Bafna is a key member of Expletus Legal’s disputes and regulatory practice. A graduate of Symbiosis Law School, Pune (2018 Batch), he has developed a strong practice in Insolvency & Bankruptcy, Securities Laws, Commercial Litigation, Regulatory Disputes and Corporate Advisory.

As part of the Firm’s dispute resolution, insolvency and regulatory practice, Mr. Bafna regularly advises on and assists in representing financial institutions, corporate entities, insolvency professionals, promoters and private clients before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, the NCLT, the NCLAT and other regulatory forums. He has been involved in a broad range of matters concerning insolvency resolution and liquidation proceedings, creditor rights, restructuring and distressed asset transactions, securities and financial regulatory disputes, commercial litigation, recovery proceedings, shareholder disputes and regulatory compliance issues. He has been actively involved in high-stakes insolvency and restructuring matters concerning distressed assets, resolution plans, promoter disputes and complex financial transactions and possesses significant experience in securities regulation, corporate governance, financial compliance and regulatory investigations, enabling him to effectively navigate disputes involving overlapping corporate, financial and statutory considerations.

In addition to this Mr. Bafna regularly advises and represents clients in a wide spectrum of general civil litigation matters, including contractual disputes, property-related disputes, injunction proceedings, recovery actions and other civil disputes as well. He also possesses significant experience in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.

Known for his meticulous drafting, analytical approach and strong understanding of Supreme Court practice and procedure, Mr. Bafna regularly assists in strategizing complex multi-forum litigation involving constitutional courts, Tribunals and regulatory authorities. At Expletus Legal, he plays a significant role in the Firm’s Insolvency, Commercial Litigation and Regulatory practice, particularly in matters involving financial institutions, infrastructure projects, securities & capital market regulation, banking disputes and corporate restructuring.

He is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association, Delhi High Court Bar Association and NCLT & AT Bar Association.
