Mr. Anup Jain is a Founding Partner at the firm and an Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India. With 18 years of experience, Anup has built a distinguished practice specializing in electricity law and regulatory litigation. He regularly appears before the Supreme Court of India, APTEL, CERC, MERC, and various High Courts, primarily representing state electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs).

Anup has provided deep strategic insight into regulatory, tariff, and contractual issues in the power sector, acting for clients such as Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) and Uttar Pradesh Power Holding Company Limited. His work has shaped national electricity policy and law, including roles under the SHAKTI Policy and NCDP, ground-breaking tariff reforms and cross-subsidy design.

Anup has appeared in multiple landmark cases across regulatory commissions and represented government agencies on issues relating to renewable energy, contract enforcement, and infrastructure sector-related disputes.
In addition to his litigation practice, Anup has advised clients on regulatory compliance, power purchase agreements, and tariff-related issues. His work demonstrates a deep understanding of the structural and legal complexities within India’s power sector. Beyond electricity law, Anup maintains a robust practice in arbitration, insolvency, banking, infrastructure-related disputes, constitutional law, environment, service matters, and mining law.

Anup holds a BA LL.B. from Bangalore University and a postgraduate diploma in IPR from NLSIU, Bangalore. He is a member of both the Supreme Court Bar Association and the Advocate-on-Record Association.
